That's a great question to be honest, why did you decide to run for this position?
I arrived to the UK a couple months ago, I came from Colombia, a warm and vibrant country and landed in grey, cold and wet London. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I was not expecting the cold to run through my bones as it does.

My first night in my accommodation I was freezing, I had never seen a heater, didn't know how to make it work and that's when I realized that things would be a little bit different here... maybe I knew it before but was not entirely sure of how different things would be.
I started meeting my flatmates, they're all from India and Pakistan, amazing people. My classmates are from everywhere... Taiwan, Turkey, Nigeria. I've made friends from Hong Kong, China, Syria and the UK too. All of us have faced challenges when faced with such a change in our lives, all of us have had questions and have had moments in which we're not entirely sure who to turn to or what to do.

That's the main reason I've decided to run for this post.
I want to be that voice, make our concerns heard and try to do my best to create action plans that would improve our experience with the allocated resources.
I know that every issue will not be solved instantly, but I know that by putting it forward our concerns we're more like to be heard and we'll be closer to find a solution.
So with all of this... I want to make our voice heard, I want to know what concerns you and serve you to the best of my abilities to make your university experience the best it can be.
